NU Pep Squad Back-To-Back Cheer Dance Champion

Inspired with a flawless Native-American routine, the National University cheerdancers posted a score of 677.5 points more than enough to pull its way to the top of this year's UAAP 77 Cheerdance competition after a crowd of over 22,000 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

NU took home Php 340,000 prize money and the privilege to be in the league with UP to have completed a back-to-back victory. The team also won third prize in the Group Stunts Category.

And speaking of UP, ofcourse when you say cheer-dancing UP is synonymous or at least close to it. And like NU, UP also retained its position as the second best squad. Performing with a gender-equality theme that gave them 658 points.

Every year UP always has a new trick to surprise its audience. Known for its originality and innovation, the Diliman squad is the epitome of UAAP cheer dancing. Now see their performance and be a witness on how they smuggled, the oblation. Lol

And to complete the inner circle, at number three spot is UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe. Yes, finally you're up there (yipee, dating gawi na ba ito? Lol). After posting a 625 points with its Chinese inspired routine, the SDT is now back on track. Usually when it comes to UAAP CDC only two names come out, UP and UST, it's like the Ateneo and La Salle of men's basketball.

NU was always the under dog, not because they are called the Bulldog (lol) but I mean UAAP history, they were always in the bottom. But after Henry Sy became its major share holder, everything has change. Look at their basketball men's team and yes, their pep squad.

Actually, this year's UAAP cheerdance performances were the lamest. Except for the flawless NU, the rest were a blunder.
