Crowds Waiting for the Opening of Dolomite Beach

Since the restrictions in Metro Manila for the Covid-19 have slowly been lifted, outdoor activities are now allowed in the park.

I have been a regular at Luneta Park on weekends for morning jogs, and lately, I haven't had any physical activities. So, I thought of renewed hobbies.

I woke up early at 4 AM to check if the weather was fine. There was rain the other day - just making sure I won't be going on a bad day. Lol.

Yesterday was the celebration of 124th Independence Day. Just perfect, I might catch some activities later in the day. I heard President Duterte will do the flag-raising and wreath-laying at the Rizal Monument. I want to see him up-close-and-personal. Yeah, fat chance! Lol.

Also, I want to visit Dolomite Beach. Again, I heard (lol) it will be re-opened that day. Dolomite Beach is one of the controversial projects of the government. So much buzz about the project (in a bad taste). I don't understand - I thought it was good. I mean, healing mother earth is never wrong, isn't it?

Remember Claire Danes saying Manila is just a stinky city with cockroaches everywhere. That after she witnessed first-hand while shooting a movie at the Jones Bridge. During those times, yes - Manila is indeed stinky.

I was jogging till 8 AM and waiting for the Independence Day celebration activities but then got tired of waiting, so I headed to Dolomite Beach which is within walking distance from Rizal Park.

There was a significant crowd when I arrived. The Beach is closed. I overheard it will be open anytime in the afternoon.

Afternoon huh. Oh, I don't want to wait again. So, I just took some videos on the sidelines.

Of course, I have prepared it for you. Take a look.
