Quezon City Memorial Circle on a Sunday Morning

So, I have started a Sunday habit, and that's by jogging every Sunday at the Quezon Memorial Circle. I used to do this at Manila Park on weekends until the pandemic came.

While I like the vibes of Luneta, a fact of the matter it's quite far from my place. With public transport being not yet 100% operational, for someone who hails from the northern part of Quezon City. Manila is simply far.

Then while staring idly at some people doing their own lives one afternoon, I overheard some of them talking about their plan of going to the Circle for jogging on weekend. Yeah, I love gossips (lol).

Hence, it gives me an idea. Why not and why not? Lol. I'm coming from Don Antonio and Quezon City Memorial Circle is not that far. It can be done just by walking.
It's been decided. I'll be going for a walk; er I mean jogging at the QCMC on Sunday morning.

I woke up as early as 4:30 AM, at 5 in the morning I'll start walking my way to the Circle. Yeah, I'll just be walking. I don't have other exercises aside from a 30 minutes Zumba on some occasions so walking would be the best exercise.

Walking at 5 in the morning is quite relaxing. The sun is not up yet. The winds bring a little chill. And the horning of vehicles is somewhat a visual. From time to time, I get to bump with some random people.

At exactly 6 AM, I'm in the vicinity of QCMC. It's an hour's walk but I don't feel tired at all. There are already a lot of people coming in - in pairs or in groups. The guards at the entrance require all people coming in to wear a mask and a face shield. There are vendors outside selling these accessories if you happened to forget one.

Upon entering, a sight of plants in various varieties is displayed everywhere. For someone who is a trying hard (lol) plantito. The sight is simply irresistible, it's heaven on earth.

While everyone is wearing a mask, social distancing is not quite observed. People in groups are running side-by-side and there are supposed to be guards on the lookout or roaming around the place from time to time but they didn't bother.

Good thing I found a less crowded spot. There are only a few people, so you can jog a meter apart.

A lot is going on inside the park during the entire morning. You can find Zumba groups in different locations. Some bikers on the other side. Some boxers in training - punching here and there (lol), people in badminton and a lot more.

It is a great morning for relaxation.

Now, as usual, I have prepared a video for you to see up close and personal.

Happy weekend.
