Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach Up Close and Personal

As I promised in my previous post, I'll revisit the Dolomite Beach since I cannot wait any longer for the afternoon opening last Sunday.

So here you go, join me as I dissect every bit of the beach, lol.

Thirty minutes past seven in the morning when I woke up. I was eager to see the beach up close and personal. With so much buzz and controversy about this project, I want to see for myself if this is just another lame project by the government and why there are people still making bad impressions out of it.

I mean seriously, Manila Bay has always been the subject of debate because of the disgusting trash that surrounding its bank for like a lifetime. There are efforts from the previous administration to rehabilitate the Bay but just like a normal government effort. Lol. I was a failure. See, those previous governments are just pure lousy or just don't have the will to do it. Now, a sane government wants to rehabilitate, clean it and actually deliver and make it happen so people can enjoy themselves when they visit the place.

Don't be stupid, Manila Bay has always been a landmark when you think of Manila. Despite the disgusting garbage gathered around the sea bank, people still flock carrying food and their whole family on weekends. What kind of people would even criticize such a good project that caters to the public?

The detractors would even wish for a super typhon so the dolomite would be washed out. And so, they have another reason to condemn the government. Oh, these bitches.

Okay, enough for my ranting.

So, I arrived at around 8 AM. There are already quite a lot of people inside the beach. I went my way and joined the queue lining through the gate. Of course, it's free.

The thing is you cannot bring food inside. Oh well, you cannot blame them. On the first day it was re-opened flocks of people came in and so their trash scattered around the beach. Oh, the Filipino in us. Lol.

I wish the administrator would provide trash cans so people would get the initiative where to throw their garbage. I mean, you cannot blame them and expect to pocket their trash. If it's a small candy wrapper it's possible but for some plastic bags for Buko Salad, kanin or dinuguan - come on. Lol.

Then I realized later that there are workers roaming the area regularly monitoring for the spilled garbage carrying a garbage sack. A good initiative but I really wish there were garbage bins around the area, not only is it handy but it would give people the idea to discipline themselves. I mean getting used to it.

Now, on to our topic. Entering the place is just like wow. The sand like dolomite is at its whitest. Who needs Boracay? There are sun beach umbrellas scattered around which most people used it as an accessory to their Instagram photos or stories. And why not, we are the most Instagrammable people in the world.

Also, one feature that would catch your attention is the Dolomite Roack. You can't ignore it, it's huge. Another, Instagrammable part of the beach.

Going over to the water, the sea bank. The water is beautiful. It's crystal clear. The weather was fine so you could see both the skies and sea water, in blue. From time-to-time airplanes can be seen above. NAIA is just a few kilometers aways form Manila Bay not to mention the Port of Manila which is on the other side. Ships in different shapes are also a regular attraction. The scene is just perfect. Imagine the sunrise and sunset? Oh, I want to experience it firsthand.

Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach is highly recommended. It's beautiful, you need to put it in your bucket list.

Now if you think, I am just blabbing. I have a video to validate my claim. So here you go. Lol.
