Barely a day after he was officially installed as Manila City Mayor, Isko Moreno Dumagoso now popularly or fondly called Yorme Isko has become a social media darling. This, after his hands-on and trasparent approach on how to, handles and solves the issue within his jurisdiction.
He is active on his Facebook page by live streaming while he is working. May it be roaming on the sidewalks, went to a specific agency or inspecting a police station for the status update. It's a new approach of governance and people like it.
Corruption has always been our biggest problem in the government and seeing this kind of leadership. Is in a way a breath of fresh air.
And speaking of his hands-on approach. One of the most applauded and people talking about is his initiative to clean Divisoria - again. Yes, again, because this is not the first time that an effort to clean the said place was pursued.
Images and videos of the new Divisoria were gone viral after it was photographed being organized and clean.
And as a curious citizen, I want to see it myself. Yesterday, being Sunday I made myself available and went to Divisoria. To visit the place and see how it is like now. Is it still visually arousing in the face as it is in the viral posts?
