I don't usually cook at home; I prefer to buy my food outside, which often means fast food. I know it's not the healthiest choice, but I think it's pretty common for those living independently. Since I work the night shift, I usually stop by the nearest mall on my way home to grab something to eat and bring it back with me. Fortunately, there are plenty of restaurants and fast-food chains in my area.

Sometimes, when I'm craving a home-cooked meal, I visit Gerry's Grill. My absolute favorite dish there is Sinigang na Hipon (Sour Shrimp Soup), with Bulalo (Beef Marrow Stew) coming in as a close second. Of course, there are plenty more options to choose from—after all, Gerry's Grill is known for its authentic Filipino dishes—but those two are my personal favorites.

On some weekends, I try my hand at cooking (don’t worry, not “cooking myself”—just me attempting to cook, lol). I like to think I can make decent food in terms of flavor, but I don't indulge myself too often because I dread the cleaning afterward. Honestly, I'm a bit lazy when I'm at home and avoid household chores as much as possible. I even bring my laundry to a shop regularly, just so I can focus on keeping the house clean without overwhelming myself.

Lately, I’ve been craving shrimp. Did I mention it’s my all-time favorite? So, I went to the nearest Shopwise and bought half a kilo of shrimp. My plan is to cook Halabos na Hipon (steamed shrimp)—simple and delicious.

Of course, I had to make a recording of the process. And voilà, here’s the video... tadaaaah!
